The MRC Toxicology Unit has an active Outreach Programme that is co-ordinated by Dr Lucia Pinon. We host 'experience days' at the Unit for local schools and we also deliver lectures and experimental sessions ('lab in a box') to  local schools. We have strong links with the University of Leicester and participate in their annual postgraduate careers symposium.

We are grateful to a number of local agencies especially to Leicestershire Education Business Company and East Midlands STEM partnership for organising events that allow us to contribute with our expertise, in particular events related to National Science Week that usually takes place in March every year.
Samples of our activities can be seen on the pages of this site.
